The Moderating Effect of Communication Competence in the Relationship between Emotional Labor and Job Stress in Nurses

Background: This study aimed to investigate the extent which communication competence, emotional labor and job stress among a group of Korean nurses working in hospital. Also, moderating role nurses' competence was evaluated between stress.Methods: used cross-sectional descriptive design. Data were collected from 309 four general hospitals Korea June 30 July 20, 2021. analyzed using statistics, Analysis Variance, t-test, Pearson correlation, Hierarchical Regression with SPSS/WIN ver. 28.0 program (IBM.Co., Armonk, NY, USA).Results: The average score labor, stress, ability 3.39, 3.51, 3.47 out 5, respectively. Emotional showed significant correlation competency relationship effect found be (<i>β</i>=-0.162, <i>P</i><0.01).Conclusions: results that it is necessary make efforts alleviate competency, plays buffering these relationships. It suggested an effective training needs developed cultivate skills attitudes can applied nursing practice.
